1. Murata announces construction of new production building in Vietnam
Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. announced that its Vietnamese subsidiary will begin construction of a new production building in June 2022. The new production building has a total investment of 4.32 billion yen, covers an area of 5,486 square meters, and has a total floor area of 22,637 square meters. It is planned to be completed in August 2023.

2. Infineon presents the world's first ISO26262-compliant high-resolution 3D image sensor for automotive
Infineon Technologies AG announces the second-generation REAL3™ automotive image sensor, a high-resolution 3D image sensor compliant with the ISO26262 standard, in partnership with 3D time-of-flight systems specialist pmdtechnologies ag. The camera can detect driver distraction and fatigue. This enables the offering of a driver monitoring system with secure 3D facial recognition using only one ToF camera.
